If you are one of the many people who set themselves New Year’s resolutions and then find that before January is over your best made plans have fallen by the wayside, this exciting new course from Room4Health could be just what you need to make 2010 different.
The course will be facilitated by Ruth Johnson, the centre’s Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. Ruth is a nurse with over 20 years experience in the field of mental health and wellbeing. Ruth will be happy to discuss your needs in some depth with you prior to enrolling on the course if you think that may be helpful.
This exciting new course from Room4Health has been devised to help people take control of their lives through taking control of their feelings and behaviour. This course offers people who are willing to make the changes they need the tools and techniques to do it: to raise their self esteem and start living life to the full.
The course will introduce participants to cognitive behavioural approaches to tackling emotional difficulties. It offers an alternative to traditional one-to-one therapy and will offer a combination of learning about the nature of low self esteem and self destructive thinking and provide you with the practical tools and techniques to break out of the vicious circle of negative self worth and make positive changes to transform your life and achieve your goals.
The classes will be small with a maximum of six people in the group and will run over eight weeks. For participants to gain maximum benefit from attending it is essential that you are open to reflecting on your hopes, desires, emotions and fears and make a commitment to challenging and stretching yourself within a supportive, inspirational and friendly environment.
